Not Photogenic?Think Again!

The most common thing I hear from people when it comes to a photo shoot is, "I am not photogenic." This belief belongs in the same category as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Let me tell you why.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Yes, I know, that sounds like pop psychology at its best, but it's true. It only takes one bad image of oneself to create this misconception. But I'm here to tell you that you are wrong.

For starters, everyone has a side that is better than the other. We are all flawed humans, so perfect symmetry is extremely rare. The slightest change in an angle can accentuate a feature. Just the way we stand can have a huge impact on how we look in front of the camera. It's important to have someone who knows how to help you show off your shine. This is where I come in as your posing expert.

So you say you would still be nervous? Everyone gets nervous in front of the camera. I had a great experience myself when I had the privilege of having Angie Whitten photograph me. I didn't even realize I was trying to fake it! Me, a professional photographer. I followed her direction, reminded myself of what I already know, and some of my favorite images came out of that shoot. In fact, it gave me confidence. And that is a huge reason why I do what I do. Let me help you feel confident.
